Caravan fire in Cheshire makes three in one week

Fire crews were called out at 5.20am on the 2nd November to a caravan fire in Rowton, Chester.

The touring caravan, which was parked on a driveway at a house in Moor Lane, Rowton, was ablaze when the fire service arrived and the caravan was destroyed.

A spokesman for Cheshire Fire Service said: “Our main concern was keeping the area safe due to the presence of gas canisters and ensuring the fire did not spread to the property.

“The caravan was well alight when we arrived and there was minimal damage to the house.”

Fire investigators and the police are carrying out an investigation into the cause of the blaze.

There have been a number of caravan fires in recent weeks and owners are reminded to take all necessary precautions to avoid any risks of fires starting.
